Pastor Parris Howard and Ashleigh Howard, The Union Louisville

A church for the whole person, in the city we call home.

The Union Louisville is a church plant rooted in Louisville, Kentucky. We exist to form a people in union with God and one another in Christ: not a crowd that merely gathers, but a community that is loved, cared for, equipped, and sent.

Whole-person discipleship is the conviction underneath everything. Faith is not a compartment. The Christian life, as Jesus modeled it, is lived wholly, in spirit and in truth.

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

John 17:20–21 · NKJV

Whole-person discipleship

Major in the maturity of the soul. Minor in gift and ability.

In some ministries, gifting is celebrated while the whole person (mental, emotional, and physical health) is quietly overlooked. In others, doctrine is honored while relationship with the Holy Spirit is left unattended.

The Union is built for another way. Jesus was fully God and fully man, and that truth gives us a model for being fully human. He did not simply come to save our souls. He came to show us how to live in them.

A pit stop is not a place of defeat. It is a place of intentional pause, where you rest, reset, are restored, and are released back into the race.

This is a multi-ethnic community where different cultural expressions are not erased, but offered as gifts to one another and to God.

To be a people formed in union with God and one another in Christ, embodying His transforming love and truth.

To live out our union with Christ by loving and serving others and equipping them in their identity and purpose in Him, so that the world may believe and come into relationship with God.

Founder & Senior Pastor

Meet Parris Howard

Pastor Parris Howard is a servant of Christ from Louisville, Kentucky. He gave his life to Christ at twelve, was licensed to preach in 2021, and is planting The Union from a conviction that people should be shepherded wholly, not partially.

After walking through multiple denominational and educational seasons, Parris noticed a gap: ministries that formed gifts without forming the person, or guarded doctrine without making room for the Spirit. The Union is his answer to that grief.

After God, his first ministry is home. He is the husband of Ashleigh and the father of Jianni and Damani.

A Word from Our Founder

Why this Union exists

What you hold in your hands is not simply a vision document. It is the fruit of everything that tried to stop it.

Forged in obscurity and called out of darkness, God was preparing this place long before I ever drew my first breath. As a young boy I did not yet have language for what I was carrying, only a hunger I could not explain and an instinct to lean toward the wisdom of those who had l

What we believe

Rooted in Scripture. Anchored in Christ. Alive in the Spirit.

  • 01

    Godhead

We believe in one eternal God, fully sovereign and indivisible, who exists simultaneously and co-equally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: three distinct persons sharing one divine essence, nature, and glory. God is one in essence, distinguished in relation.

  • 02

    The Word

We believe the Holy Scriptures are the fully inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, breathed out by the Holy Spirit and profitable for doctrine, correction, instruction in righteousness, and the complete equipping of every believer.

  • 03

    Christology

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who was virgin-born, lived a sinless life, died as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of all humanity, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and is coming again in power and glory.

  • 04

    Pneumatology

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, fully God, who seals every believer at salvation and baptizes them in power for witness and ministry, and whose presence is the active, living agent of transformation within the church and the individual.

You did not find this ministry by accident.

Come as you are. Become who God designed.

We are officially launching on October 18, 2026, and we want you there for the first step of everything God is building through The Union Louisville.
